Mohammad Fazel, MD

Dr. Fazel is an assistant professor of Medicine in the Division of Dermatology.  Prior to earning his MD, Dr. Fazel completed his undergraduate degree in molecular and cellular biology at the University of Arizona.  This was followed by completion of a Doctor of Pharmacy at the University of Arizona College of Pharmacy.  He then completed a PGY1 pharmacy practice residency at the Southern Arizona Veteran Affairs Health Care System.  

Dr. Fazel subsequently went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Arizona College of Medicine following which he worked as an intern in the University of Arizona Internal Medicine program.  Ultimately, Dr. Fazel completed his dermatology residency within the University of Arizona Division of Dermatology.  

Dr. Fazel currently serves as a dermatologist here at the University of Arizona.  His clinical focus is cutaneous oncology with Dr. Fazel currently working as a cutaneous oncologist within the Cutaneous Oncology Program at the Arizona Cancer Center.  His research areas of interest are melanoma and adverse drug reactions.  Dr. Fazel also has a passion and focus on teaching medical students and residents in their endeavor to become great doctors.
