Our Team Fundraising Goal is $2,000.00! So far we have raised $1,830!

It has been 3 years since John Dougherty died of malignant melanoma and we will never forget him and always honor him. Once again the University of Arizona Cancer Center is having a “Melanoma Walk ’11” to promote awareness and raise funds to fight this horrible disease.

Our team name is “John Rocks” because of John’s strong determination to beat this disease, as well as the emotional rock he was for all of us during this difficult time. One of John’s fondest memories of the Caner Center was leaving after an appointment one day and finding a rock in the garden with an inspirational quote attached to it. One of John’s favorite rock quotes was, “Courage is the first of human qualities because it is the quality which guarantees all others”, by Winston Churchill.

We understand many of you cannot be with us in person for this event, but you can join us in spirit by supporting this fundraiser. Thank you for remembering John. Our love and best wishes, Carol and Bernard
