Someone dies every hour from melanoma. I have been living with melanoma for six years, 1.5 of them at Stage 4. Thanks to the love and support of my family and friends, continuing research, wonderful physicians and trial drugs I am fortunate to be here to join the Skin Cancer Institute at the Arizona Cancer Center in a walk to raise awareness and funds that will stay in Arizona and will support melanoma research, patient care, community outreach and education.
Two years ago at the inaugural Melanoma Walk we fielded a wonderful team of walkers and supporters and raised over $3,100.00. This year I’m hoping to double that support! Mommy said I could multiply high…hi….kai…chai, but I’m not there yet. I’ll just add $18 together four times. Good luck, Cousin Bonnie! If I were there, I’d roll with you. I’m not sure I can walk four hours. It’s tough for me to get through the pool parking lot!
